There'll Be No Butter in Hell!
A favorite of mine--from Cold Comfort Farm. Flora Poste accompanies her cousin Amos Starkadder to hear him preach at the Church of the Quivering Brethren.
Oh, I've never seen that! And Eileen Atkins is in it too...will have to find a copy. Of course, I'd listen to Ian McKellen read the phone book, but that's neither here nor there.
This is a very clever, very funny movie. And, the best I remember, it is one your whole family can watch together. There'll always be Starkadders at Cold Comfort Farm (you'll know what this means after viewing the movie.)

Becky,

The book is excellent, as well.
No butter in heaven, either.
Sigh...
I liked the bit about him conducting the hymns with a poker to remind them of something hot.
