Your Man in Damascus
Just checking in...I have spent the last week in Syria, as well as 1 day in Lebanon. Later on, I will be in Jordan and Palestine. Smooth sailing so far...

Steve, Scylding and Kirk--thanks! Just the thought that our State Department probably wouldn't approve (at least not for Syria and Palestine) is just that much more incentive to go. Jordan has been very nice, indeed. Tomorrow, Palestine.
