Three Years
A glance at the calender today reminded me that it was exactly 3 years ago tonight that I was received into the Holy Orthodox Church. What a blessed journey it has been so far--3 years on the way to my own "Many Years!"
"Almighty and everliving God, let your fatherly hand ever be over this your servant; let your Holy Spirit ever be with him; and so lead him in the knowledge and obedience of your Word, that he may serve you in this life, and dwell with you in the life to come; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." From our prayer following reception, BCP 310
And I believe congratulations are in order for you, as well, Jared. I checked your blog and realized the big event had already transpired. "Many Years" to you and your lovely bride.
Congratulations on the anniversary!
