Answer: Another Kosovo. It seems (please correct me if I am wrong), that whenever the Muslim population passes a certain percentage threshold, there is a demand for independence. This is already happening in European countries in varying degrees.cdgilpinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10910537949927485376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18762198.post-20020029929546027162008-02-29T14:06:00.000-08:002008-02-29T14:06:00.000-08:00Carey, thanks for writing. Our administration insisted on independence or nothing. But Kosovo is hardly a viable state. There is nothing per se about independence that makes it more viable than being an autonomous region of Serbia.Terry (John)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07523479530843509695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18762198.post-46893035922221663742008-02-26T08:59:00.000-08:002008-02-26T08:59:00.000-08:00The ugly face of US imperialism just got a whole l...The ugly face of US imperialism just got a whole lot uglier.Steve Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11283123400540587033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18762198.post-58766011033831244122008-02-25T20:33:00.000-08:002008-02-25T20:33:00.000-08:00"Greater Kosovo" area as as follows: "Its populati..."Greater Kosovo" area as as follows: <I>"Its population, which is 90% ethnic Albanians, has tripled in the past five decades. The stupidity in that Rice quote... it is to weep, truly. What will happen to the Decani Monastery? I've been too scared to look it up and see if the monks are even still there after the declaration.
