Last time we had a gube...Islamo-quakers... hehe...
Last time we had a gubenatorial election here in WA, since both major party candidates were dreadful corporate party stooges, I voted for a guy who claimed he had invented an engine that ran on "air" which would solve all the world's resource problems. I wi...Kirk, your solution is about as good as any. I will wait and see if KBH has any sort of chance at all and then decide at that point which primary to vote in. But in the fall, I will go for White. Our local paper's lead article today was on their "independent" observers who watched last night's debate (this ahead of the Haiti story, btw.) Not surprising, they came out strong for Perry and Medina, with KBH characterized as "wishy-washy." The Tyler paper slant is nothing if not absolutely predictable.

s-p, the deal is that our current governor thinks he IS Walker Texas Ranger. The older I get, the more convinced I am that your course is best--all politics is despicable and/or meaningless, good only for cheap amusement, as is the case here.

Anon, I agree, that's a scary option. Shami is not a serious candidate, but then the "serious" candidates are pretty scary in their own right. Thanks for your comment, and I encourage you to drop the "anon"--as this is a safe zone!Terry (John)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07523479530843509695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18762198.post-78488757513308269492010-01-15T09:55:37.955-08:002010-01-15T09:55:37.955-08:00Farouk’s solution to border control – Grant every ...Farouk’s solution to border control – Grant every undocumented immigrant a US Citizenship who turns in any gang member. Couple of points:
1. ...Another fine entry, John.

Couple of points:

1. You need to brush up on your spelling. In Texas, this is the goobernatorial election.

2. My initial sentiment is that no person named "Farouk Shami" could be elected governor of the State of Texas. But then I recall my earlier opinion that no person with the name "Barack Hussein Obama" could be elected POTUS.

As for me and my house (well, really just me, because I have no control over the other half of the house), I will hold my nose and pull the lever for Hutchison in the spring, and I'll vote for Bill White in the fall (given the chance). Nevertheless, I expect four or eight or twelve or sixteen more years of the drugstore cowboy/governor goodhair. Woe is me.Kirknoreply@blogger.com
